My Child/Partner/Friend is interested in airsoft. Where do I start?
There's a lot of information out there for airsoft, and it can be overwhelming! From our experience, we recommend getting an Automatic Electric Gun (AEG) as a beginner gun, and to avoid buying first timers guns like snipers and pistols as it puts them at a big disadvantage on the field. What is Airsoft?
Airsoft is a team-based sport based around replica guns called Airsoft Guns. Powered by springs, batteries, or gas (IE Co2 or propane), airsoft guns are designed as a way to simulate combat in a way that promotes honor, teamwork, and fun. Airsoft is played by those of all ages and is a great way to meet new friends, explore a community of passionate people, and get some good exercise in. Whether you're looking to go pew-pew with some friends in the backyard or drive 12 hours to a 400-player event, we're happy to help you out along the way.
Where can I use my airsoft guns?
In Canada, you are able to use your airsoft guns on private property as long as they are being used for airsoft purposes only. Local municipalities may have different laws regarding airsoft guns on private property, so ensure that you are properly informed before you begin using your replica. Dedicated paintball and airsoft fields are also a great way to go play and meet new people in the community, find out which fields are local to you and see when games are happening! Never bring your airsoft guns out in public, even if it has an orange tip. Practice safe and responsible transportation. Irresponsible transportation of your guns and equipment can result in fines, jailtime, or injury to yourself or others
Does airsoft hurt?
Yes, occasionally. Airsoft can be described as a short lasting bee sting, depending on where you got hit. It's up to the player to decide how much protective gear they'd like to wear during airsoft matches.
Do your guns come with a battery and charger?
No, most of our selection of airsoft guns do not come with a battery or charger. This leads to a bigger purchase for your first airsoft gun, but keeps prices down on subsequent guns you may buy in the future (IE not ending up with 5 chargers for your 5 guns). Our staff is happy to help you find the right battery and charger for your airsoft gun.
I've seen videos of fires from LiPo batteries, are they dangerous?
No, LiPo batteries are not dangerous. They require more care and maintenance than their more stable counterparts, NiHm batteries, but properly cared for LiPo batteries are completely safe for use in your airsoft guns.
